چکیده
Hydrostatic pressure response of $\mathrm{LaAu}{\mathrm{Sb}}_{2}$ charge density wave (CDW) system is investigated using electrical transport, x-ray diffraction (XRD), and density-functional theory (DFT). Resistivity data at ambient evidence a clear CDW transition 83 K. X-ray reveals that in plane out axes show opposite behavior with decreasing temperature, particular, $c$ axis develops distinct change \ensuremath{\sim}250 K, much above the observed The shifts to low temperature increasing pressure. Our resistivity indicate complete suppression \ensuremath{\sim}3.6 GPa. High-pressure XRD revealed from linear trend for ($c$) ($a$) lattice parameters 3.8 With compression, DFT indicated an anomaly c/a ratio around 8 calculated electronic structure also minor changes band this range. In addition, high-pressure structural investigations reveal be stable up pressures as high 150

Sliding charge-density wave in manganites.
Stripe and chequerboard phases appear in many metal oxide compounds, and are thought to be linked to exotic behaviour such as high-temperature superconductivity and colossal magnetoresistance. It is therefore extremely important to understand the fundamental nature of such phases. The so-called stripe phase of the manganites has long been interpreted as the localization of charge at atomic site...
متن کاملCharge-density-wave phase slip in NbSe3
We have studied the phase-slip process by which charge-density-wave (CDW) current is converted to single-particle current at electrical contacts. Transport and X-ray scattering measurements indicate that an excess voltage Vps dropped between current contacts induces a large static deformation of the CDW phase. The measured Vpsand temperature-dependent phase-slip rates are consistent with a mode...
متن کاملOn the pressure dependence of a charge density wave state in 2H-Tas 2
2014 The onset of a charge density wave has been studied by resistivity measurements in 2H-TaS2 up to 33 kbar. The pressure coefficient of TCDW is ~ ln TCDW/~P = 2.9 10-3 kbar-1 at ambient pressure. A larger pressure dependence occurs at higher pressure and suggests that the normal metallic state of 2H-TaS2 may be stable down to 0 K above 43 kbar. The relation between a CDW state and the pressu...
متن کاملPressure-induced superconducting phase in the charge-density-wave compound terbium tritelluride.
A series of high-pressure electrical resistivity measurements on single crystals of TbTe3 reveal a complex phase diagram involving the interplay of superconducting, antiferromagnetic and charge-density-wave order. The onset of superconductivity reaches a maximum of almost 4 K (onset) near approximately 12.4 GPa.
